The Bruins men soccer team will host the Truett-McConnell College Bears tomorrow night, with game time set for 7 p.m. The Bears, who are from Georgia, just joined the Appalachian Athletic Conference this year, but are also a part of the NAIA Conference.
Â
The game should be a competitive match for both sides. The Bears hold a 5-4 record and have won their last two games, beating the Point University Skyhawks on Tuesday night, 4-0. The Bruins have a 4-4 record and won their last game on Saturday against Concordia College, beating a tough Hornets team 2-0.
Â
Watch for a strong midfield presence from the Bears, headed up by senior captain Gavin Duff, and center back, Matthew Robertshaw, both of who are from England and play a fast-paced, European style game.
Â
The Bruins continue their season by showing new strengths in every game, especially on-field communication. Saturday's win against the Hornets demonstrated the Bruins ability to generate and capitalize on other team's errors but still maintain intensity in the back-half. Â
