The next chapter of the rivalry between Pensacola Christian College and Bob Jones University is set to be written on Saturday night as the Bruins welcome the Eagles to Alumni Stadium in Greenville, South Carolina.
The Bruins enter the match at 2-1-1 on the season after a dominant region win over Trinity Baptist College on Saturday. The team scored five second-half goals to win 6-0 and improve to 2-0 in region play. The Bruins were scheduled to play on the road at Talladega College on Tuesday, but the match was canceled due to weather.
The Eagles enter Saturday's match at 3-2 on the season after back to back wins over Warner University and Talladega College. Pensacola is the defending NCCAA DII National Champion having claimed their second national title in the past four seasons.
This will be the seventh meeting between the two programs with the Eagles owning a 4-1 record against the Bruins. The two teams last met in the NCCAA DII South Region Championship last season with the Eagles getting a late goal in the match to win the region title and end the Bruins season. Four of the six times these teams have met, the match has been decided by a single goal.
The Bruins will look to end their losing streak against the Eagles on Saturday night. Kickoff for the match is set for 7 p.m.
