After back to back region wins at home, the BJU Bruins men's soccer team will be on the road on Thursday afternoon as they face another region matchup against Johnson University (FL). The Bruins come into the match at 3-1-1 and a perfect 3-0 in region play after a thrilling double-overtime victory over Pensacola Christian College on Saturday.
The Suns will play their season opener on Thursday after finishing the 2019 season at 4-9 overall. The Bruins and Suns met twice during the 2019 season with the Bruins winning both matches.
In their last meeting, the two teams met in the NCCAA DII South Region semifinal where the Bruins routed the Suns scoring four first-half goals en route to a 7-1 victory. The Bruins are hoping they can pickup another region victory on the road Thursday.
Kickoff for the match is set for 4 p.m.
