The Bruins men's soccer team kicks off the 2020 season on Saturday night as they welcome region-rival Toccoa Falls College to Alumni Stadium. The Bruins enter the game on the heels of playing their lone preseason exhibition in an intrasquad scrimmage on Friday night. Jordan Crews scored the lone goal to give the white team a 1-0 victory but several individual performances throughout the match showed promise for the team in the upcoming season.
The Bruins welcome the Screaming Eagles who finished the 2019 season at 5-12-1 overall. The Bruins and Screaming Eagles have met ten times in program history with the BJU winning each of those ten previous contests.
Last season, the Bruins defeated TFC in their lone meeting of the 2019 season in a 3-1 victory at Alumni Stadium. The Bruins scored a pair of goals in the opening half and added another in the second half to secure the victory.
With a core group of returners and a talented freshmen recruit class, the Bruins will look to begin the season well as they kickoff on Saturday night at 6 p.m. at Alumni Stadium in Greenville, South Carolina.
