The Bruins return home for back to back games this weekend as the team wraps up the first semester of play. The Bruins will face off against Oglethorpe University on Friday night before facing Calvary University on Saturday afternoon.
The Bruins come into the games following back to back losses last week. On Tuesday, the Bruins struggled to slow Piedmont University in a home loss before the team fell 105-91 to Campbellsville University - Harrodsburg on Saturday. Four players scored in double figures against the Pioneers but it wasn't enough as the team fell to 2-6 on the season.
On Friday, the Bruins face Oglethorpe University as the Stormy Petrels enter the game at 5-2 having won two of their last three games. The Stormy Petrels edged Berry College on December 4 as Uba Ezigbo led the way with 18 points in the win.
This will be just the second meeting between the Bruins and Stormy Petrels with the Bruins winning the last matchup 75-63 in 2019. Tip-off for Friday's game is scheduled for 6 p.m. in the Davis Field House.
On Saturday, the Bruins will wrap up first semester as the team faces Calvary University. The Warriors come into the weekend in the midst of a five-game losing streak as the team stands at 1-6 on the season. Calvary is an NCCAA DII program and competes in the North region.
This will be the first ever matchup between the Bruins and Warriors with tip-off scheduled for 12 p.m. in Greenville, South Carolina.
