The Bruins kick off the 2022-23 regular season on Thursday night as the team will be on the road at Brevard College in Brevard, North Carolina. The Bruins come into the matchup having battled Wofford College (NCAA DI) in a preseason exhibition.
The Tornados come into the season-opener having fell in a preseason exhibition to USC Upstate (NCAA DI) on Monday. Last season, the Tornados finished the year at 8-16 overall and fell in the opening round of the USA South Conference tournament to Covenant College.
The Bruins ended last season at 16-12 overall as the team captured their third NCCAA DII South Region Championship before falling short at the national tournament.
Last season, the two teams split their season series with the Bruins winning 90-82 November 30 in Greenville before falling 86-72 to Brevard in February. This will be the sixth meeting between the two programs with the Bruins owning a narrow 3-2 record against the Tornados.
Thursday's matchup is set to tip-off at 7 p.m. in Boshamer Gymnasium in Brevard, North Carolina.
