The Bruins basketball team will be back in action on Saturday as the team welcomes Brevard College to the Davis Field House. This will be the final home game of first semester for the Bruins as the team enters the game at 3-3 on the season.
Following back to back losses, the Bruins will look to regroup and wrap up first semester on a high note. The Bruins come into the game following losses to Asbury University and Johnson & Wales University.
In their last loss to JWU, four players scored in double figures with Henry Blair leading the way with 27 points. The Bruins struggled defensively as Johnson & Wales shot 65% from the floor and 47% from three-point range.
Brevard College comes into the Saturday matchup at 2-6 on the season. The Tornados notched back to back wins over Warren Wilson and Oglethorpe but the team suffered back to back losses to Johnson & Wales and Western Carolina last week.
Earlier this season, the Bruins and Tornados squared off in North Carolina as BJU won their season opener with an 86-81 win over Brevard. The one-two punch of Henry Blair and Stephan Hugley led the way for the Bruins as the pair combined for 51 points in the win.
Saturday's matchup will be the 7th meeting between the two programs with the Bruins owning a 4-2 record against Brevard. Tip-off for the game is scheduled for 12 p.m. in Greenville, South Carolina.
