After falling in back to back tough losses, the Bruins basketball team will look to bounce back as they return home to the Davis Field House for a matchup against Mississippi College - The W on Saturday. The Bruins come into the game at 5-7 on the season and 2-2 in region play.
The team suffered a tough loss on Tuesday night as they fell to Warren Wilson College 84-69. In that game, the Bruins struggled from the free throw line shooting just 57% as a team while also committing 22 turnovers. Henry Blair led the Bruins with 24 points while Stephan Hugley turned in a dominant performance with 15 points and 18 rebounds in that game.
Interim head coach Tony Miller said the team needed to take "a hard look in the mirror" after that tough loss. On Saturday, the Bruins will welcome the Owls of Mississippi College for the first ever matchup between these two programs.
The Owls come into the game at 8-9 on the season having dropped three straight games including a loss to Lyon College on Wednesday. Saturday's game kicks off a four-game home stand for the Bruins as the team looks to get back into the winning column.
Tip-off for the game is scheduled for 4 p.m. in Greenville, South Carolina.
