The Bruins basketball team begins the new year on the road on Wednesday as the team faces Webber International University in Babson Park, Florida. The Bruins come into the game after finishing the first semester of play at 3-4.
The Bruins began the season well after winning three of their first four games, but the team looks to get back on track as they dropped three straight to end the semester including a 97-89 loss to Brevard College on December 17.
Webber International enters Wednesday's game at 7-5 on the season having won three of their last four games. The Warriors had their three-game winning streak snapped on December 30 as the team fell to William Carey University 63-59.
This will be just the second meeting between the Bruins and Warriors. Last season, the Warriors pulled away late as they defeated the Bruins 75-59 in Florida. Henry Blair led the Bruins in that game with 16 points and 5 rebounds in the loss.
Tip-off for Wednesday's game will be at 4 p.m. in Sabbagh Athletic Center in Babson Park, Florida. The game will be the first of two road games for the Bruins this week in Florida.
