The men's soccer team wraps up Homecoming weekend with a Saturday night match at Alumni Stadium. Saturday's match features the Emory & Henry College Wasps and the BJU Bruins.
Coming into this weekend, the Burins look to capitalize off of momentum from their 2-0 shutout over Guilford College on Tuesday night where they improved to 6-3-1 on the season. In Tuesday's match, Asher Aurednik scored both of the Bruins goals to see his goal-scoring tally jump to eight on the season. Throughout this season, the Bruins have outscored their opponents 28 to 13.
Emory & Henry College makes the trip from Virginia still on the hunt for their first win of the season. Through nine games played this season, the Wasps have yet to win a single game and have struggled offensively to get the ball in the back of the net has they have only recorded four goals.Â
Saturday's match will mark the first meeting between the Bruins and the Wasps with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m. Following the match, there will be a fireworks show for fans to enjoy!
