The Bruins men's basketball team played their first game of the season tonight against Sewanee University of the South. The two squared off for the first time in program history and it would be the Tigers who took the win over the Bruins 76-79.
The Bruins played them close all night, but were unable to take the lead away. At the half, the Bruins would trail by one 31-32. The guys played a tough game, but much like the first half struggled to find the patterns and rhythms to take the lead. The Bruins were outlasted by the Tigers 76-79 and would drop their first game of the season.
Head Coach Burton Uwarow shared after the game, "Sewanee is picked to win their conference. I thought we played a pretty good 32 out of 40 minutes. Overall, I am happy with our first performance."
