After opening their 2023-24 season on the road last weekend, the men's basketball team returns to Greenville to host Brevard College at the Davis Field House Tuesday night for their home opener.
The Bruins enter the week 0-2 on the season looking to secure their first win of the year. Over the weekend, the Bruins traveled to Sewanee, Tennessee to participate in the Lon Varnell Classic. They faced two top NCAA DIII programs over Friday and Saturday. On Friday they fell in a narrow 79-76 loss to Sewanee before another close 66-58 loss to Wittenberg University.
Brevard College makes the trip to Greenville also looking for their first win of the season. The Tornados began their season with two exhibitions against NCAA DI Wofford and Winthrop before hosting Montreat College last Friday for their first regular season game. Montreat had a strong second half to take the 75-69 win over Brevard.
Tuesday's game marks the eighth meeting between the Bruins and Tornados. Bob Jones currently owns the 4-3 series record.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. from the Davis Field House.
