Tournament Information
The postseason begins on Thursday for the Bob Jones University men's basketball team as the Bruins travel to Kissimmee, Florida for the NCCAA South Region tournament. The Bruins look to repeat as South Region Champions as they enter the tournament as the #4 seed.
Five teams will be competing this weekend at Johnson University (FL) with the seeding listed below.
- #1 - Toccoa Falls College
- #2 - Trinity Baptist College
- #3 - Pensacola Christian College
- #4 - Bob Jones University
- #5 - Johnson University (FL)
The Bruins finished the regular season with an 11-12 overall season record and were 4-6 in conference play after picking up a win against Johnson University (FL) last Saturday.
#4 seeded Bob Jones University will kick off the men's tournament Thursday night at 7 p.m. as they face host school #5 Johnson University (FL). Johnson University (FL) enters the tournament after closing out the 2022-23 regular season 3-17. The Bruins and Suns met twice this season with Bob Jones pulling out the win in both contests.
The winner of Thursday night's game will advance to the semi finals on Friday at 7:30 p.m. where they will take on #1 Toccoa Falls College. The NCCAA South Region championship game will be played on Saturday, February 25 at 4 p.m.
The Bruins are looking to repeat as South Region Champions and their fourth title in program history. They won their first region title in 2016-17 followed by another one and 2017-18 and most recently in 2021-22.
