The men's soccer team continued their preseason training with a scrimmage at North Greenville University in Tigerville, South Carolina Saturday morning.
"This was a very good test for us, and overall we were able to learn a lot about ourselves as we approach our season," said Head Coach Greg Fulton. "We produced a very solid defensive effort over the 90 minutes aside from two simple mistakes in which we were punished. Offensively we produced so many chances and the final product was lacking today."
With a 5-1 victory over Spartanburg Methodist College on Tuesday, the Bruins came into today's game against North Greenville University looking to build on their week of training. The Crusaders and Bruins had met twice before with meetings in 2018 and 2019.Â
After 90 minutes of play, the game ended with North Greenville University taking the 2-0 win.Â
"This was always about learning and growing and we accomplished that," said Fulton. "We will focus on next week's training as we prepare for a tough season opener."
Next week, the Bruins will make their way to Brevard, North Carolina to take on Brevard College for their 2023 season opener.Â
