The Bob Jones University men's soccer team takes to the road as they travel to Cary, North Carolina to face William Peace University at WakeMed Soccer Park Saturday evening. The Bruins come into the match on a five game winning streak. They improved to a 5-2-1 season record after a 2-0 shutout over Piedmont University on Tuesday.
The Pacers come into the weekend 3-2-3 after a massive win over Warren Wilson College on Tuesday. After the Owls got on the board first, the Pacers would go on to score nine unanswered for a 9-1 result.
Two players to watch this weekend are Asher Aurednik from the Bruins and Brennan Lagana of the Pacers. Aurednik has been a super sub for the Bruins making offensive plays off the bench. He's tallied six goals this season to lead the Bruins in goal-scoring. For William Peace, senior forward Brennan Lagana poses a threat as he leads his team with six goals and 19 shots (11 of those on frame) this year.
It's been eight years since the Bruins and William Peace University have met. In September 2015 the Bruins made the trip to North Carolina where they scored five goals to shutout the Pacers.
