The Bob Jones University men's basketball team is back for their first home game of 2024 as they host Trinity College of Florida in a NCCAA South Region showdown.
BJU has seen one of their best starts this season and sit on a two game winning streak after earning a 88-76 victory over Trinity Baptist College on January 6. The Bruins are 5-3 on the season and are currently undefeated at home boasting a 4-0 home record. On average this season, the Bruins have scored 81.5 points while only allowing 73.9 from their opponents. After scoring 23 points on Saturday against Trinity Baptist College, Elijah Cupples leads the team in total points and is in the top-25 across the NCCAA.
Trinity travels to Greenville for their first game of the new year. After starting the season with six straight losses, the Tigers enter this week's contest 3-6 on the season with back-to-back-to-back wins in December. Their last two wins both came against Appalachian Bible College on December 8 and December 9 where they scored over 100 points in both games.
Thursday's game marks the fourth meeting between the two programs. The Bruins have finished on top in their last two games back in 2017 and 2018 and hold the 2-1 series record over the Tigers.
Tip-off for the men's basketball game is scheduled for 7 p.m. from the Davis Field House.
