The Bob Jones University men's basketball team opens up the week with a road contest at Warren Wilson College. The Bruins make the trip to North Carolina 10-3 on the season after picking up an important 80-61 win over NCCAA South Region opponent Southeastern Baptist College Friday night. Friday night's victory marked the ninth straight win for BJU including two exhibition contests.
Warren Wilson enters the week 3-12 on the season. This year, the Owls average 68.2 points per game with their opponents seeing an average of 94.6 points per game.
The Bruins and Owls have met four of the same opponents this season, each taking on Brevard College, Piedmont University, Toccoa Falls College, and Trinity College of Florida. Bob Jones has won three of the five games against these same teams with Warren Wilson winning two of those five meetings.
In the last 11 years, the Bruins and Owls have met 16 times with the Bruins holding the 9-7 series record. Last year on February 7, Trevor Brunson put up 36 points in the Bruins 110-91 victory against Warren Wilson.
