After a hard-fought 90 minutes, the clash between the Bruins and Koalas ends in a 0-0 draw.
"Going into tonight's match, we knew this field wasn't meant for our style, but at the end of the day, we had so many chances that should have been finished," Head Coach Greg Fulton said.
It took a little while for the Bruins to get a good touch on the ball in the first half. They had several chances but couldn't find the back of the net. The Bruins defense remained solid as always and limited any sort of offensive movement the Koalas tried to have. It was a 0-0 draw at halftime.
After halftime, the Bruins came out with the same kind of attacking game plan and the Koalas came out aggressive with hard challenges. Throughout the half, the Bruins had better chances than they did in the first half. The Koalas goalkeeper made several key saves to keep the Bruins scoreless and the 0-0 score draw held until the final whistle.
"At the end of the day, we're about to go into a regional and national tournament where we can't play like anything is given," Coach Fulton said. "It's time to rest and get focused to close out our regular season on Saturday."
The Bruins close out their regular season play on Saturday with a match against Regent University with a 6:00 p.m. kickoff. Prior to the game, the Bruins seniors will be recognized for their hard work and dedication to the program over the years.
