The Bob Jones University men's basketball team travels to Pensacola, Florida ready to take on the NCCAA DIId South Regional Tournament. The Bruins enter the post-season ranked #1 in the region.

After a thrilling 85-83 buzzer beater win against region opponents Toccoa Falls College on Saturday, the Bruins wrapped up the regular season with an impressive 17-4 season record and 10-1 in conference play.

The tournament kicks off Thursday afternoon as #5 Johnson University FL battles #4 Southeastern Baptist College followed by a late game of #6 Pensacola Christian College versus #3 Trinity Baptist College.

On Friday at 3 p.m. from the Sports Center Arena at Pensacola Christian College, the Bruins will play their first match of the tournament in the semifinals where they will take on the winner of game one, either Johnson University FL or Southeastern Baptist College. The victor of Friday's contest will advance to the championship game scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday.

The following is the seeding for this week's tournament.

#1 - Bob Jones University
#2 - Toccoa Falls College
#3 - Trinity Baptist College
#4 - Southeastern Baptist College
#5 - Johnson University FL
#6 - Pensacola Christian College

Through 11 region games played this season, the Bruins finished with 10 wins. Their lone loss came against Southeastern Baptist College in a tough road game on February 8.

Mid-January, the Bruins earned a spot at #8 on the NCCAA Coaches Poll. They climbed to the #5 spot where they sat for the past two polls. Heading into the post-season, they're at the top of the power ratings for the South Region and sit second in the nation just below Spurgeon College.

The last region title for the men's basketball team came during the 2021-22 season as the Bruins outlasted Johnson University FL to capture the South Region Championship. The battle for the NCCAA DII South Region Championship begins Friday as the team looks to earn their fourth region title in hopes of advancing to nationals in March.
