The Bruins open their home play at Alumni Stadium Saturday at 7 p.m. against the Erskine College Flying Fleet.
They are 2-0 all time against the Flying Fleet with their most recent meeting last year. The Bruins were the victors that match 3-2 and all three goals were scored in the first half and by players that are still on the current roster. Bryce Ramler struck first in the 19th minute followed by Jake Provenzano just one minute later in the 20th minute. The Flying Fleet answered with a goal of their own before Asher Aurednik finished off the half with a goal in the 31st minute. The Bruins held off the late push by the Fleet in the second half to hold onto the win.
The Bruins are coming off their season opener against Truett McConnell University on the road in Cleveland, Georgia. The inability to capitalize on their offensive chances led to a 3-0 loss. Since then, they have had a few key practices to help them find a more fluid offensive movement. They look to score more goals and tally their first win of the season against Erskine.
