Men's Basketball Adds a Class of Seven

With four transfers and three true freshmen coming in, the Bruins men's basketball team is adding a seven talents in their new recruit class.

"The addition of seven new players who are ready to contribute gives us the chance to have a really special group," Head Coach Tony Miller said.

Carter McCarn:
Carter is from Norcross, Georgia and is the younger brother of current student coach Davis McCarn. The 1,000 point high school scorer looks to take his scoring to the next level. The freshman is studying Sport Management.

Trevor Gearhart: 
Trevor is a local freshman from Greenville, South Carolina. After a great high school career at Hampton Park Christian school, Trevor joins Bruin Nation and adds some serious height to the roster. He is majoring in Business Administration.

Coyie Poole:
Coyie is also fairly local coming to BJU from Chesnee, South Carolina. The guard rounds out the freshman coming in this recruit class. He joins Gearhart in the classroom studying Business Administration.

Bryson Felder:
Bryson is the first of four transfers coming in the new class. Last playing for Nelson University, he comes to BJU as a junior originally from Blythewood, South Carolina. The forward is studying Sport Management.

Chase McNeill:
Chase comes to play for the Bruins from Methodist University. He adds speed to the court as a 6-foot guard with some experience. The sophomore is also studying Sport Management.

Lewis Robertson:
Lewis is coming from familiar opponent Emmanuel University. He brings even more speed from running cross country and track at Emmanuel. Now a junior, he comes to BJU and is studying Business Administration.

Thomas Tyler:
Thomas is the lone graduate transfer fulfilling his eligibility in this class. After four years at Coker University, he adds a good level of NCAA DII experience. He is studying Sport Administration & Coaching.

The talented recruits and returnees begin their season October 23 when they travel to Montreat College to take on the Cavaliers.
