The new era of men's basketball at Bob Jones University under the leadership of Dr. Tony Miller officially begins tomorrow as the Bruins open their 2025-26 season on the road at Montreat College with a 7:00 p.m. tipoff.

The Bruins lost several key pieces to last year's region-winning squad but also returned players like Shad Vander Hart, Trevor Pittman, Brandon Wilkins, and more. They've also added eight talented players to join Bruin nation, both freshman and transfers. Needless to say, this Bruins team is extremely talented and looking forward to another successful season. 

In the all-time series, the Bruins have a 1-5 record with the last two meetings resulting in three point losses. Last season, the Cavaliers were victorious in the Davis Field House 90-87. The whole game was a battle between the two teams as Shad Vander Hart led all scorers with 30 points. It was the rebounding of Montreat, though, that won them the game. The Bruins will look to change that narrative tomorrow.

Due to Montreat's renovation of their gymnasium because of last year's storm, the game will be closed to the public, but livestream and live stats are available.

Tipoff for the Bruins season opener is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
