The NCCAA South Region is the most competitive this year as it has been in quite some time, and the Bruins have the opportunity to gain back-to-back region championships on their home field. The one-seeded Bruins take the field in the semi-final Thursday at 4:00 p.m. against the four-seeded Trinity College of Jacksonville Eagles, a team they have already beaten this year.
Earlier in the season, the Bruins hosted the Eagles at Alumni Stadium and came away with a 6-1 win. Freshman Jackson Reinhard highlighted that match with two goals and an assist. The Eagles had a first half equalizer before the Bruins took control of the match with five unanswered goals.
If the Bruins come away with a semi-final win, they will play the winner of Thursday's 7:00 p.m. match between the two-seeded Pensacola Christian College Eagles and three-seeded Toccoa Falls College Screaming Eagles on Saturday, November 8 at 7:00 p.m.
The Bruins have beaten Pensacola and have tied against Toccoa Falls, both games on the road.
Kickoff for the first semi-final match is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. at Alumni Stadium. Tickets for the South Region Tournament are $5 per person per game. Bob Jones University students, faculty, and staff with their valid ID can enter the game for free.
