The defending NCCAA South Region champion Bruins look to reclaim the banner this weekend as they host the NCCAA DII South Region Tournament.

As the number one seed, the Bruins await the winner of the game between Trinity Baptist College and Southeastern Baptist College. Either the Eagles or Chargers will have to face the Bruins in the Davis Field House at 8:00 p.m. Friday night.

The Bruins have a combined 2-1 record against the two teams with the loss coming against Trinity Baptist at home just a couple weeks ago. It was a one-point loss where the Bruins shot poorly from the three-point line and free-throw line. The confidence, though, is found in the fact that the Bruins beat the Eagles on the road in a 93-88 affair where the Bruins held control for most of the game and forced the Eagles to try and catch up. 

Against the Chargers, the Bruins had quite the game winning 93-45 in late January. Every Bruins player scored in the game with Trevor Brunson and Devin Pope both scoring 21 points.

If the Bruins win Friday's game, they will play in the South Region Championship game on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. against either Pensacola Christian College or Toccoa Falls College. If they come away with the banner, it would be the Bruins fifth NCCAA South Region championship in program history!
