In addition to earning this year's NCCAA DII Presidential Award, the Bruins were also named a #KingChasing institution finalist by the NCCAA for the 2024-25 school year.
Per the NCCAA, "the #KingChasing program uses the four values of the Game Plan 4 LIFE - Love, Integrity, Faith, and Excellence - to enhance the purpose of collegiate athletics to be more than winning championships. The mission of the #KingChasing program is to keep Christ at the center of the student-athlete experience."
In order to be named a #KingChasing institution by the NCCAA, schools much earn 70 points throughout the year. Points are earned by participating in community service projects, praying for other schools, reaching high academic marks, among others. This is the second straight year the Bob Jones has been named a #KingChasing institution and the first time they have earned a top-three spot as a finalist.
Out of over 90 NCCAA schools, the Bruins finished as a finalist out of 13 #KingChasing institutions. As one of the top scoring #KingChasing programs, the Bruins received $1,000 to be used towards christian outreach and a $5,000 Bill Price scholarship to assist students in a ministry-related major.
