Bob Jones University Bruins Golf Team Announces Fall Schedule

The Bob Jones University Bruins Golf team has outlined their schedule for the upcoming fall season, featuring a series of competitive tournaments across South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, and Georgia.

The season will commence with an exhibition match play tournament against Montreat University at the Greer Golf Club in Greer, South Carolina, scheduled for the beginning of September. The event will serve as a warm-up for the Bruins before they head to the Maggie Mountain Invitational on September 8-9, at the Stonecrest Golf Course in Prestonburg, Kentucky.

One of the highlights of the season is the Bruins Golf Classic, a home tournament set for September 22-23 at Cobb's Glen Country Club in Anderson, South Carolina.

The team will then participate in the NCCAA South Region Championship from September 29-30 as they look to earn a spot at the national tournament in October.

Following the Deercroft Fall Classic on October 6-7, hosted by Columbia College, the Bruins will make their way to the Pioneers Fall Invitational hosted by Spartanburg Methodist in Gaffney, South Carolina. Rounding out the season, the team will participate in the Eagle Invitational hosted by Alice Lloyd College at Nob North Golf Course in Cohutta, Georgia on October 27-28.

"The Bruins golf team is returning to a full fall season schedule after a somewhat scaled back version a year ago," said Head Coach Denny Scott. "The Bruins will be hosting the 12th Annual Bruins Golf Classic at Cobb's Glen Country Club which is always a highlight. We have added a couple of new events in the Deercroft Fall Classic and the Pioneers Fall Invitational. These events have strong fields of teams which help us to gain the competitive experience we need."

He continued saying, "this fuller schedule also allows for the development of some of our younger golfers and new recruits and provides a challenge for our returning team members as we prepare for and pursue the NCCAA Regional and National championship titles."
