Bruins Draw Cavaliers on Senior Night

The Bruins and the Cavaliers play to a intense 0-0 draw in the final match at Alumni Stadium of a the 2026 season. Seniors Luke Provenzano, Rivers Hamilton, David Issa, Sam Gaddis, Will Hotchkin, and Reid Burgin were recognized pregame.

The first half began and it became evident pretty quickly that both teams were going to have chances offensively but it would be difficult to convert those chances because of the defense. The Bruins and Cavaliers both had shots on goal in the first 20 minutes of the match but all of them were right at the goalkeepers. It was back-and-forth match, but the Bruins held slightly more possession in the midfield. When the Bruins got into their offensive third, the Cavaliers defense made it difficult to get a clean shot. Bruins forwards Jackson Reinhard, Noah Burkett, and Dylan Poweska were all able to get a shot in the half. There was a questionable no-call in the half that would have given the Bruins a penalty kick to try and break the 0-0 draw, but the whistle was not blown. The halftime score was 0-0.

In the second half, there was lot more overhead passes from both sides. But again, it was the defense that showed up. Bruins center back Sam Gaddis has an incredible match with several defensive saves while also marking the Cavaliers talented forwards. The Bruins were able to begin peppering the net and having a lot of offensive production, but then the tide turned. After a tackle retaliation, David Issa was shown a red card with 15 minutes to play. The Bruins fought to keep the 0-0 draw playing with a man down. Inside those four minutes, the Cavaliers had two shots on goal in which goalkeeper Luke Provenzano saved. The Senior Night celebration ended with a dull 0-0 draw.

The Bruins have one more official regular season match next week on Tuesday at Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte, North Carolina.
