Jacob Doshier Named NCCAA Student-Athlete of the Week

After an incredible performance in the Louisville Cross Country Classic, sophomore Engineering major Jacob Doshier has been named the NCCAA Student-Athlete of the Week for DII cross country.

"Jacob is an incredible student-athlete," Head Coach Ken Roach said. "He continues to lead the charge for the men's team and deserves this recognition."

Doshier has been the leader of the Bruins men's team all season long, and now he is on top of the NCCAA after racing to a remarkable time of 26:55 in the 8k this past weekend. With that result, he is now sixth in the all-time Bruins rankings. As a sophomore, he is also the youngest Bruin to finish with a sub-27 minute 8k.

Doshier and the Bruins have one more race this season before the NCCAA DII Cross Country National Championships in Joplin, Missouri on November 13. They will head to Spartanburg, South Carolina on October 17 to race in the Upstate Invite.
