The Bruins begin their 2026 campaign tomorrow night at Alumni Stadium as they host the Bluefield University Rams for a 7:00 p.m. match.

After falling short in the region championship last season, the Bruins are looking to get back on top with good returning players and a lot of talented newcomers. They have played two preseason scrimmages where they beat Piedmont University handily and fought North Greenville University in in a tight loss. The Bruins believe they have the pieces to have a very successful season, and that starts tomorrow night. 

This will be the first time that the two programs have ever met. Bruins Head Coach Greg Fulton thought this would be a great way to provide a special homecoming to the new head coach of the Rams. In the offseason, former Bruins player and assistant coach Ryan McCarty took the driver's seat of the Bluefield program in his first career head coaching position. Later on, Ryan's brother and former Bruins player James McCarty joined the staff as an assistant coach.

The start to the 2026 season will be a special one for the Bruins and they look to begin on a high note with a win. The match will begin at 7:00 p.m. at Alumni Stadium.
