Box Score The Bruins were not able to withold the Valkyries' attack enough and fall 4-1 on the road at Converse University.

The first half began on time at 7:00 p.m. but it took less than a minute for play to be blown dead for a weather delay. Finally after a little over an hour, the match began again. Right out the gate, it was very clear that the Bruins defense was going to be busy. The Valkyries came out running and firing shots while the Bruins spent most of the first half defending it pretty well. The Bruins faced 10 shots in the half and only allowed the one goal. The few counter attacks by the Bruins only mounted to a corner kick. The halftime score was 1-0.

Not much changed after the half as it seemed the Valkyries attack only got more aggressive. They were able to add three more goals giving the Bruins a 4-0 deficit. In the 70th minute, the Bruins showed a sign of life when Jackson Reinhard continued his great season with a goal making it 4-1. Unfortunately for the Bruins, that was all they could get on the offensive side tonight.

Despite the score, Bruins' goalkeeper Luke Provenzano still had a strong showing in his box. He faced 28 total shots and nine corner kicks, and he ended the night with nine saves. Some of those saves were spectacular.

The Bruins look to get back on track next week when they host region opponent, the University of Toccoa Falls Screaming Eagles. The match is September 29, and kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at Alumni Stadium.
