The Lady Bruins will be on the road on Saturday for their first tri-match of the 2020 season. The team will face Johnson University (TN) and Alice Lloyd College in back to back matches in Knoxville, Tennessee. The Bruins enter Saturday's matches at 2-1 overall on the season after the team swept Toccoa Falls College in a road match on Saturday.
The Bruins will first face the Royals of Johnson University (TN) who enter the match at 3-1 overall after coming off back to back sweeps of Appalachian Bible College and Toccoa Falls College on Tuesday.
In their history, the Bruins and Royals have met four times with the Bruins winning three of those meetings. Last season, the Bruins and Royals met in the NCCAA DII National Tournament pool play round with the Bruins sweeping the Royals in straight sets en route to their second straight national title.
The Bruins will then face the Eagles of Alice Lloyd College in the first ever meeting between the two programs. The Eagles enter Saturday's match at 2-8 overall having dropped their last five matches.
The Bruins hope to come away with two wins on the road on Saturday. Tip-off for the matches will be 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
