The Lady Bruins will wrap up the 2020 season on the road tomorrow as the team competes in a tri-match against Brewton-Parker College and Trinity Baptist College in Mount Vernon, Georgia. The Bruins enter the regular season finale on the heels of a home match against Erskine College on Friday night.
The Bruins will face the Barons of Brewton-Parker College in the first match of the day. The Barons enter the match at 4-10 on the season and are riding a seven-game losing streak as they welcome the Bruins. The Bruins and Barons met last Saturday in the Davis Field House with the Bruins sweeping BPC in straight sets thanks to Brooke Beaver leading the way with 12 kills, 9 digs and 4 aces in the win. Tip-off for the match is set for 2 p.m.
In the second match of the day, the Bruins will be paired in a NCCAA DII South Region matchup against Trinity Baptist College. The Eagles enter the day at 2-15 on the season after back to back losses to Johnson University (FL) and Trinity College last week. This will be the sixth meeting between the Bruins and Eagles with BJU owning a perfect 5-0 record against TBC. Tip-off for the match is scheduled for 4 p.m.
With the NCCAA DII South Region playoffs beginning next weekend at Bob Jones University, the Bruins are looking to wrap up the season strong in the Saturday tri-match.
