The Lady Bruins will compete at the NCCAA DI National Tournament this week in Kissimmee, Florida. The Bruins made the jump to Division I this season after a dominant run in Division II winning four of the last five national championships.
The team enters the DI National Tournament as the #5 seed and will face #3 Campbellsville University in the opening pool play match. The Tigers fell in the NCCAA DI national semifinal final last season, finishing 13-6-2 overall. With the COVID pandemic, Campbellsville moved their season to the Spring. Monday's match against the Bruins will be the first for the Tigers this fall.
The Bruins come into the match after a nearly three-week break from their last match of the regular season. The Bruins enter the tournament at 5-6 on the season after winning their regular season finale 2-1 to Johnson University (TN).
This will be the first-ever meeting between the Bruins and Tigers with kickoff scheduled for 12 p.m. This will be the first of three pool play matches for the Bruins. At the end of pool play, the top two teams in the tournament will play for the championship.
