The Lady Bruins basketball team will play their home opener on Monday night as they welcome Carolina Christian College to the Davis Field House. The Bruins come into the game on the heels of a loss in their season opener to Covenant College. Delaney Edwards led the Bruins with 11 points and 7 rebounds while freshman Brittany Williams had 10 points and 5 rebounds in her Bruins debut.
The Bruins had some struggles in the season opener as the team shot just 7% in the game from three-point range while being outrebounded by the Scots. Still, the Bruins continued to battle and came away with several takeaways from the game.
The Bruins welcome the Centurions of Carolina Christian in the first-ever matchup between the two programs. The Bruins will look to bounce back as they take the court against CCC. Tip-off for the game is set for 5 p.m. in Greenville, South Carolina.
