Game Recap: Men's Soccer | | Kaitlyn Unruh

Bruins Blank Royals in 10-0 Victory

A high scoring affair in Virginia Beach, Virginia saw the Bruins men's soccer team run away with a 10-0 victory against Regent University. Tonight's offensive attack was powered by a hat trick from Victor Oladipo, a brace from Jordan Crews, a brace from Conley Burk, as well as goals John Fahmy, Gasheed Lareche and Caleb Felber.

"These are important games for our guys to create momentum," said Coach Greg Fulton. "We are into a streak of season-defining games, playing six in 13 days. We were able to not only go deep into our roster, but also see some great production from our guys coming off of the bench!"

The Bruins would see several opportunities to get on the board in the first half, but in the 22nd minute Hodari Twishime would cross the ball in front of the net where Jordan Crews was waiting to knock it in and put the Bruins up 1-0.

10 minutes later, Conley Burk would send the ball forward to Victor Oladipo who was wide open and chipped the ball right past the keeper. The duo would do it again a three minutes later as Burk would kick it back to Oladipo who would work his way through the Royals defense to bring the score count up to three.

Conley Burk would get his chance to have his name on tonight's score sheet as he would send the ball sailing into the back of the net with just one minute remaining in the first half.

Oladipo would kick off the second half with a perfectly placed goal in the bottom left corner of the goal to bring the Bruins lead up to five and give Oladipo his second hat trick of the 2021 season.

Four minutes later, Jordan Crews would send a screamer into the back of the net to double his goal count on the night.

The seventh goal of the night would go to John Fahmy who would tally his first goal of the season. Just a few minutes later, Gasheed Lareche would send the ball up through the keeper's gloves to give the Bruins an eight goal advantage.

A corner kick by Mario Figueroa in the 78th minute was the perfect assist for Conley Burk to head it into the back of the net and earn his second goal of the night.

The final goal would be scored by Caleb Felber off of a set piece to bring the score to 10-0 in favor of the Bruins, their biggest victory (by way of goals) this season.

"We have a quick turn around to another game tomorrow and will look to have another strong team performance."

The Bruins will look to extend their four-game winning streak as they head to Elizabeth City, North Carolina tomorrow for an 4 p.m. match against Mid-Atlantic Christian University.
