The Home Opener for the men's basketball team is set for Thursday, November 18 as they welcome Montreat College to the Davis Field House. The Bruins come into tomorrow's game 0-1 on the season after falling to Piedmont University in their season opener. They have since played two exhibition games against Wofford College and Georgia Southern University.
Head Coach Burton Uwarow said that "this is the toughest week of the schedule for us this season. We are looking forward to our first home game after playing two exhibitions against DI opponents."
Montreat College enters Thursday's game after narrowly defeating Johnson University (TN) 95-93 last Saturday. With that win, they improved to 2-1 on the season.
The two schools have met four times with the Cavaliers owning the 3-1 record. They haven't played since October 30, 2018 where the Bruins fell 78-87. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Davis Field House.
