The women's basketball team is back for a weekend of home games as they host the Bruins Invitational basketball tournament. The Bruins will take on Campbellsville University-Harrodsburg Friday evening before facing off against Johnson & Wales University Saturday afternoon.
The Bruins picked up their third straight victory Tuesday evening, completing their comeback against Brevard College. Delaney Edwards led the team with 17 points with Gracen Ledford close behind with 14.
Friday's game against Campbellsville University-Harrodsburg will be the second time the two schools have met this year. The Pioneers came away with the 70-56 win back on November 19 in Harrodsburg, Kentucky. Both teams enter this game on three game winning streaks. The Pioneers are currently 4-9 this season.
It's been a couple years since the Bruins have faced off against Johnson & Wales University. The Wildcats come into Saturday's game 6-2 with their most recent win coming against Virginia University of Lynchburg on December 7. They will face off against Toccoa Falls College Friday night before taking on the Bruins on Saturday. This will be the eleventh time the two schools have met with the Wildcats holding the 6-4 record over the Bruins.
