The Bruins volleyball team returns home Tuesday night as the team welcomes Piedmont University to the Davis Field House. The Bruins come into the match at 8-1 on the season after winning three matches of four on their Florida road trip last weekend.
The Bruins were able to sweep Trinity Baptist College on Friday before suffering their first loss of the season to Southeastern University in a hard-fought match. The Bruins responded well as the team swept Johnson University (FL) and Pensacola Christian College on Saturday to move to 3-0 in region play for the season.
The Lions come into the match 0-7 on the season including dropping three matches last weekend in the Oglethorpe Stormy Petrel Classic in Atlanta, Georgia.
This will be the fifth meeting between the Bruins and Lions with BJU owning a 3-1 record against Piedmont. The two teams last met during the 2019 season with the Lions edging the Bruins 3-2 on September 17, before the Bruins swept the Lions 3-0 on October 8.
Tuesday's match begins at 7 p.m. Fans are reminded that admission is free to the match, but the policy for indoor sports is that masking is required and socially distancing encouraged.
