The Bruins were hungry for a win and played through rainy and windy conditions to come away with a 3-1 win against Huntingdon College thanks to a hat trick from Victor Oladipo.
"I am very proud of my boys tonight," said Coach Greg Fulton. "This was always going to be a tough game, especially knowing we had to bounce back from a bad performance over the weekend. The message today was to take a step forward, together. I loved the tenacity our team had and to have Victor on the score sheet three times is the cherry on top! He played a great game, and I'm proud of him."
The men's soccer team looked strong throughout the first half, and finally got the chance to put one up on the scoreboard 30 minutes into the game with a goal from Victor Oladipo.
The Bruins attack was able to double the lead in the 78th minute after another goal from Oladipo. The Hawks cut the Bruins lead in half in the 80th minute, but with less than three minutes remaining, Oladipo would bag his third goal of the game to secure the hat trick and win for the Bruins.
"Now it's time to regroup for our first region match this weekend," said Fulton.
The men's soccer team will travel back to Greenville to take on Trinity Baptist College in a home match at Alumni Stadium on Saturday night.
