The Bruins volleyball team will be back at home on Friday night as the team plays a tri-match in the Davis Field House. The Bruins come into the matches at 9-1 on the season and 3-0 in region play.
In their last matchup on Tuesday, the Bruins turned in a dominant performance as the team swept Piedmont University (3-0, 25-10, 25-18, 25-18). Victoria Glaze led the way for the Bruins with 10 kills in the matchup while the team had a combined 16 aces in the win.
The Bruins will face Paine College in the first matchup of Friday's tri-match. This will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs as the Lions enter at 1-2 on the season following a 3-1 win over Morris College on Tuesday night. The Bruins and Lions will take the court at 4 p.m. on Friday.
In the second match of the night, the Bruins will face Erskine College. The Bruins and Flying Fleet have met four times in their history with the Bruins holding a 1-3 record against Erskine. Last season, the Bruins dropped both matches to the Flying Fleet. Erskine enters Friday's matchup at 2-8 on the season after suffering a 3-0 loss to Newberry College on Tuesday night.
