Back home at Alumni Stadium in Greenville, South Carolina, the Bob Jones University women's soccer team looks to continue their hot streak as they host Warren Wilson College Thursday afternoon for Senior Night. During halftime of Thursday's match, the Bruins will celebrate the seniors on the team.
The Bruins come into the game following a successful road trip to Florida. On Monday the Bruins battled to a 5-4 victory of Florida College before defeating NCCAA DI South Region rivals Warner University 3-1 the following day. With both of those wins, the women's soccer team has improved to 12-4-1 on the season and extended their winning ways to six games.
Warren Wilson enters the match on a three-game losing streak after most recently falling 3-1 to Mississippi University for Women to see their season record drop to 3-6-1 overall.
This season, the Bruins have averaged 14.5 shots and 3 goals per game while according to Warren Wilson's statistics they have only recorded an average of 2.9 shots and 1.57 goals per game.
The Bruins and Owls met for the first time last season where the Bruins were able to earn the 3-2 victory over Warren Wilson. Thursday's match will be the first of two meetings between the two schools this season as the Bruins will travel to Asheville, North Carolina next Thursday to face them again.
