The Bruins volleyball team will wrap up the regular season on the road Saturday as the team plays in a tri-match in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The Bruins come into the match at 20-10 on the season after the team swept Paine College 3-0 on Tuesday in Augusta, Georgia.
The Bruins will face two familiar opponents in the regular season finale in North Carolina. First up, the Bruins will battle Regent University with the Royals entering the weekend at 5-7 on the season.
This will be the fourth matchup between the two programs with the Bruins owning a 3-0 record against Regent including back to back victories over the Royals in the 2021 season. The matchup between the Bruins and Royals is set for 1 p.m.
In the regular season finale, the next chapter of the battle of the Bruins will be written as BJU faces Carolina University. The two teams met earlier this season in Greenville where BJU swept Carolina 3-0 on October 1. In that matchup, Katherine Hoopes led the way for the Bruins with 14 kills in the win.
Carolina University enters the Saturday matchup after posting a record-number of wins in their program history this season. The Bruins of Carolina have been on a hot streak of late as the team has posted eight-straight victories including a 3-0 sweep of Johnson & Wales University on October 21.
The battle of the Bruins is set to get underway on Saturday at 3 p.m. in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
