The Bob Jones University women's basketball team continues their road trip as they make their way to Birmingham, Alabama to compete in the Richard Dardenne Memorial Classic. They will open their weekend against Millsaps College on Friday before taking on host school Birmingham-Southern College on Saturday.

The Bruins come into the weekend 0-1 on the season after falling 49-67 to Brevard College on Tuesday. During Tuesday's game, senior Shea Dickinson led the team with a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. During that game, the Bruins were able to get great first minutes from the team's newcomers. Head Coach Mike LeViere said, "I'm excited to see them improve and join our returners in playing some great defense and settling in on the offensive side."

Meeting for the first time in program history, the Bruins will begin their weekend of play against Millsaps College. The Majors fell 88-74 to Belhaven University on Tuesday to come into this weekend also looking for their first win of the season. 

On Saturday, the women's basketball team will meet Birmingham-Southern College for the first time. The Panthers enter the weekend 1-0 on the season after beating Mississippi University for Women in a high scoring affair 124-70.

Both games will tip-off at 5 p.m. from Bill Battle Coliseum in Birmingham, Alabama.
