The regular-season has wrapped up, and the women's basketball team is now off to Jacksonville, Florida to compete in the NCCAA South Regional Tournament. The Bruins come into this weekend as the #2 seed as determined by the NCCAA power ranking.

Five South Region teams will be competing this weekend, and below is the seeding for the tournament which will be held at Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville, Florida.
  • #1 - Pensacola Christian College
  • #2 - Bob Jones University
  • #3 - Toccoa Falls College
  • #4 - Trinity Baptist College
  • #5 - Johnson University Florida
"We're going to do our best to take care of us," said Head Coach Mike LeViere. "We talk a lot about valuing the ball and there's an offensive and defensive side to that. On the offensive side, we want to make good passes and keep the ball in our possession until we get a good shot, and then on defense, the ball is the thing that we have to stop and we want make sure we're where we need to be on the help side. If we go out and play really good defense, value the ball and don't turn it over, I think that we'll be in every game that we're in."

The Bruins finished the regular-season 9-14 overall and with a 4-3 region record after a win over Trinity Baptist College last Saturday.

#4 Trinity Baptist College and #5 Johnson University (FL) will open the tournament Thursday afternoon. On Friday, the Bruins will take on #3 Toccoa Falls College in the semifinals for a 1:00 p.m. game. This will be the third time Bob Jones and Toccoa Falls have met this season with the two schools splitting the series 1-1.

Following the Bruins vs Screaming Eagles game, #1 Pensacola Christian College will play the winner of game 1 which will take place Thursday afternoon.

The winner of Friday afternoon's match will advance to the South Region Championship game on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. The Bruins will look to capture their third region championship in program history. They won the NCCAA South Regional Championship in 2016-17 and most recently in 2019-20. Last season, the women's basketball team fell short in the championship game as they lost to the Pensacola Christian College 72-68.
