The red-hot Bruins will be back on the road on Thursday night as the team travels to Charlotte, North Carolina, for a matchup with Johnson & Wales University. The Bruins enter the match at 10-5 on the season having won nine of their last ten matches.
On Tuesday, the Bruins battled back after dropping set one to Piedmont University to win 3-1 in Demorest, Georgia. Four different players recorded double-digit kills for the Bruins with Faith Blalock leading the way with 16. The team also had 88 digs in the win over the Lions.
Johnson & Wales enters Thursday's match at 9-7 on the season. The Wildcats had won four straight but had their winning streak snapped with a 3-0 loss to Randolph University before falling to Pfeiffer University on Tuesday.
This will be the 11th meeting between the Bruins and Wildcats with the Bruins owning an 8-2 record including an eight-match winning streak against JWU. Last season, the Bruins battled to back to back sweeps over the Wildcats on September 28 and October 12.
The Bruins will look to keep up their great play of late as the team plays their final road match before a six-match homestand. Thursday's match is set to begin at 7 p.m. in Charlotte, North Carolina.
