After a thrilling comeback overtime win on Saturday, the Bruins basketball team returns to the Davis Field House on Tuesday night as they welcome Johnson & Wales University. The Bruins enter the game at 6-7 on the season.
Henry Blair turned in a dominant offensive performance in the Bruins overtime win over Mississippi University as the senior notched 35 points while going 5-7 from three point range in the win. Hayes Brush had a near triple-double in the game with 14 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 assists while Tostadas Pouncey scored 14 points. The Bruins have won three of their last five games and look to keep up their winning ways on Tuesday.
Johnson & Wales University enters the midweek matchup at 7-10 on the season having lost two of their last three games. The Wildcats stopped a two-game losing skid on Sunday as they defeated Berkeley (NY) 99-95. Five players scored in double figures for the team with Anthoney Ray leading the way with 29 points.
This will be the 15th meeting between the Bruins and Wildcats with the record split at 7-7 between the two programs. The Bruins currently have a three-game losing streak against JWU with their last win coming during the 2018 season.
The two teams met earlier this season with the Wildcats pulling away late in a 111-89 loss for the Bruins. Four players scored in double figures for the Bruins in the loss with Henry Blair leading the way with 27 points.
Tuesday's tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. in the Davis Field House in Greenville, South Carolina.
