It's a weekend of back to back South region matchups as the women's basketball team hosts Trinity Baptist College and Pensacola Christian College at the Davis Field House on Friday and Saturday.

The Bruins will look to bounce back after they fell in a 67-58 loss to Paine College Tuesday night. Coach LeViere said that his team wasn't "strong with the ball and didn't have poise under pressure. We let some token pressure get to us and cause us to play tentative. All of that leads to poor performance, which is what occurred." Freshman Katrina Tabora scored a career high of 19 points in the game with Tamrah Konieczka finishing with 11 points and 7 rebounds.

On Friday, the Bruins will face Trinity Baptist College who enter the weekend 4-11 overall and 1-3 in region play. The Eagles have lost their last three games with their last result coming against Toccoa Falls College on Monday where they fell 73-51.

Friday's game will mark the 18th meeting between the two programs with the Bruins owning the 14-3 record. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Friday.

The next day, the Bruins will face Pensacola Christian College for the 25th time where the Bruins sit at 10-14 against the Eagles. In their last meeting on February 26, 2022, the Bruins pulled off the upset and defeated the top-seeded Eagles 83-74 to capture the NCCAA DII South Region Championship.

PCC makes the trip to Greenville, South Carolina 11-6 overall this season and undefeated in conference play. They currently sit on a four game win streak after beating Campbellsville University Harrodsburg 97-92 last Thursday.

Saturday's game is set to tip-off at 5 p.m. in the Davis Field House.
