The Bob Jones University women's basketball team continues their road trip in Florida with back to back games in Kissimmee, Florida against Johnson University (FL) on Thursday followed by a contest against Great Lakes Christian College on Friday.
The Bruins resume regular season play after an exhibition game against Warner University on Tuesday. Despite falling 96-46, Coach LeViere said "this game was a good example of the scoreboard not being our measuring stick. Everyone played significant minutes, and it was a good building block for the rest of this year and beyond."
BJU opens region play on Thursday against Johnson University (FL). The two NCCAA programs have met five times with the Bruins coming away with the victory in their last four meetings. While the Bruins enter the week 5-7 on the season, the Suns have yet to win a game, coming into this week 0-9 on the season.
On Friday, the Bruins are back on the court to face Great Lakes Christian College. The Crusaders sit on an eight game losing slide, coming down to Florida with a 2-13 season record. Bob Jones and Great Lakes Christian College played for the first time on November 23, 2021 where the Bruins pulled out the 72-66 win in Lansing, Michigan.
Both games are set to be played at Johnson University (FL) in Kissimmee, Florida with tip-off scheduled for 5 p.m.
