Bruins volleyball is on the road for match against Clinton College this week. The two teams have only played once, and the last time the two teams met was during the BJU Invitational Tournament in mid-September. The Bruins cleaned up during that tournament going 3-1 including a three-set sweep over the Golden Bears. The Bruins beat the Golden Bears 25-21, 25-14, and 25-10.
Clinton College is part of the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) DI South Region. They hold a 9-9 record on the season with wins over Johnson and Wales University and Pensacola Christian College. In their last match, they played Allen University in a four-set match. Allen University won the match over Clinton College 3-1.
In the Bruins last match, they were on the road against Guilford College. Guilford College has a tough volleyball team and battled the Bruins to a five-set match. Standout player, Katherine Hoopes, finished the night with a double-double recording 18 kills and 16 digs. Timbre Cruz also finished her night with a double-double recording 12 kills and 17 digs of her own.
The Bruins will take on the Clinton College Golden Bears on Wednesday, October 11, in Rock Hill, South Carolina with first serve scheduled for 6 p.m.
