Match Preview: BJU vs Brevard College and Pfeiffer University

The Bruins are a stunning 22-4 while finishing their conference season 6-1. Tuesday evening the Bruins were in Toccoa Falls, Georgia for match against conference opponent Toccoa Falls College. After a strong performance, the Bruins left with a clean sweep winning 25-17, 25-22, and 25-15.

Thursday night, the Bruins are scheduled to play both Brevard College (8-11) and Pfeiffer University (7-13). These are the second to last home matches scheduled for the Bruins before they return home for Senior night on October 31.

Brevard College (NCAA DIII)
Brevard College Tornado volleyball team is 8-11 this season. Tuesday night, they played against Salem College where they dropped three close sets (22-25, 21-25, 20-25). The loss to Salem College would drop their conference, USA South, record to 5-7.

The Bruins and Tornado first started playing in 2019. In all six previous matchups, the Bruins have come out on top to stay undefeated. The last time the two teams met was in early September this season when the two teams played a competitive four-set match. The Bruins will play Brevard College at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday afternoon.

Pfeiffer University (NCAA DIII)
The Pfeiffer University Falcons, also in the USA South conference, have a season record of 7-13 and a conference record of 2-11. Their last match found them defending their home court against Greensboro College, but dropped the match in straight sets (14-25, 19-25, 17-25).

In four matchups, the Bruins hold a 3-1 record over the falcons. The previous matchup between the Bruins and Falcons was a four-set thriller in the 2022 season. The Bruins won the match 25-23, 25-18, 22-25, and 25-19. The Bruins will take on the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening.
